Are SEW-EURODRIVE gearmotors shipped with lubricant?
Yes, they are shipped with a medium-temperature synthetic lubricant. The gearmotors are filled to the proper oil level per the specified mounting position.
Are breathers required on SEW-EURODRIVE gearmotors?
Yes. They are shipped installed on the gearmotors at the proper location, per the specified orientation. The breather must be activated by completely removing the band that is secured in it. See Quick Install Guide.
What information is needed to properly select an SEW-EURODRIVE gearmotor?
You must know the Pulley Diameter of the conveyor, the required motor horsepower and the speed of the conveyor. You can then go to the POW charts and make the proper selection of power units.
How do I locate my local SEW-EURODRIVE District Sales Manager for support?
How quickly can I get an SEW-EURODRIVE gearmotor?
For a small premium most units can be shipped within 24 hours (unpainted). For even less of a premium a gearmotor can be shipped within 48 hours (painted).

How do I identify my installed SEW-EURODRIVE gearmotor?
All SEW-EURODRIVE have an unique SO#. This is like a serial number. This number is located on the nameplate of the gearmotor and can be looked up at here.
